Issued in 2007, the Junior Varsity's third outing for the Victory label, CINEMATOGRAPHIC, finds the Illinois emo quintet expanding its guitar-heavy sound. While the group still offers up crisp metalcore riffs, it also opts for delicate touches (even orchestral passages) without sacrificing its signature urgency, as on"The Sky,"a dynamic song that addresses the difficulties of wartime.
