2001 BMW M3

The all-new 2001 M3 is available as a coupe or convertible. The convertible will make its debut in spring 2001. The M3 is based on the 330ci platform, yet it features the new BMW M engine. The 3.2L engine, which boasts 333 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque, is mated to a Getrag six-speed manual transmission. The exterior bodywork features widened fenders and wheel-opening flares to accommodate the 18-inch M alloy wheels and Z-rated performance tires. For safety, new rear-compartment side-impact airbags are now available. The M3s standard equipment includes a variable-lock differential and a tire pressure monitoring system. Optional equipment includes a power glass moonroof, park distance control, and Nappa leather upholstery.
