Dexter can be found weekly on Cox Cable TV.
When I first heard the premise of the (now very popular) show, Dexter, I thought “This thing will never make it.†First of all, what the hell is a “blood splatter expert?†It sounds just obscure enough to be a real profession.
Now, that alone will get you a crime drama on TNT these days, but if we’re gonna make this a bonafide cable TV show, there needs to be some extra blood and violence here. Thus, Dexter is no ordinary blood splatter guy, he’s also a hunter of serial killers. The hunter becomes the hunted, so to speak, and to top it ...

Why does the Castiv Sidekick Guitar Grip exist? Because as any of you who have tried reading tabs of their laptop while playing along to a song can attest, it is not very easy.
Feature Highlights:
* Easy to install and use
* Works on acoustic, classical and electric guitars
* Does not affect the acoustics of your guitar
* You can still tune your guitar with the Sidekick on
* Can rotate to accommodate either portrait or landscape view
There are currently more than 500 guitar apps for the iPhone/iPod touch which provide a wide variety of teaching, recording, accompanying, timing, and lyric reading functions. Particularly popular are guitar tabs (tablatures), which are fingering ...

I recently found myself in a rather interesting video game-related conversation. My friend and I were playing Call of Duty: Black Ops, and he asked me if I could live without first-person shooters.
It was an interesting question that I didn’t answer so quickly. I thought of a world without first-person shooters. I imagined the gaming industry being filled with more adventure games. Madden would still be wildly popular. And role-playing games would have more of a presence in the industry than they do now.
Some of the biggest publishers in the business wouldn’t be so big. And there would be a chance that smaller studios would have the ability to develop worthwhile games ...

I admire people who can take a modern working product like a computer, turn it into a steampunk work of art, and still have the device function properly. If I were to disassemble a computer display, I am sure the thing would never work again.
A few sweet steampunk computers have shown up over on Yanko Design. The things use copious amounts of wood, brass, and old-fashioned decorations to turn that plain PC into a working art piece. I particularly like the sign on what appears to be the tower in the photo above that says “The Apple Company.”
The LCD gets a marble base and the keyboard has keys that appear to ...

The legendary Marshall sound is making its way into headphones ($60-$100) this winter with a pair of over the head cans and portable earphones that are wrapped in the iconic Marshall look. Link

You know by now that we have a natural love of all things Steampunk around these parts. There’s just something about the amalgamation between this “alternate universe†aesthetic, mixed with the aspect of our “real world.†There’s lots of brass, too, and that’s shiny. So, yeah. In any event, here’s a DJ setup that we’ve fallen in love with, and it only took one glance.
This rig was set up by one Lord Baron Joseph C.R. Vourteque, who hails from Chicago. You may not be able to tell just by looking at it, but this is a DJ mixer set within a frame of old-school Steampunk. As you can tell, there’s ...

Ok, so your cell phone can probably do a better job at being a stopwatch than this Heuer can, but you can't deny the charm and feel of pressing the button of a beautifully crafted, purpose built stopwatch. The chrome plated brass case wraps around a 9 jewel movement with anti-magnetic springs and a protective layer of plexiglass to protect the dial.
