Aside from the annoying way Panasonic names their products they do produce amazing products.
Here I’m merging two brands into one article, as they are pretty much the same shaver.
No matter what your shaver comes with as far as features are concerned the main focal point should be how well your electric shaver performs during the shaving process. That being said the Panasonic ES-LA93-K/ESLA63-S Arc 4 sure does deliver just that!
This model leaves less skin discomfort in comparison to other models and you don’t have to shave over the exact same spot over and over again.
The 4-blade foil cutting system on the Panasonic Arc 4 is terrific with a high linear speed of 14,000 CPM. Which also means less tugging on your hairs even if you’ve missed a day or two of shaving as the third day will feel like the first.
It will cut hair at its baseline for the closest shave possible with an electric without sparing your comfort.
CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
Even though the cleaning station can be rather noisy it’s hard to ignore the efficiency of the clean your shaver receives. With the Vortex Hydra Cleaning System the cleaning process is made simple. Place the shaver in the self-cleaning station select the mode for cleaning, dying and charging, Wait just 10 minutes and presto—shaver cleaned, dried, charged and ready for the next shave.
Charging your shaver for the full one-hour gives you enough power to shave for about 45-minutes, which is nothing to write home to mom about.
Even though you don’t get the highest level of charge as you would with other models that can reach 60-minutes of continuous shaving it does come with a 10-stage LCD display indicator.
For instance, it shows levels of status like the battery life on your cell-phone. This feature may not sound too impressive but picture this you’re planning a trip and wondering if you should omit your charging station or bring the bulky station along.
Well, with the 10-stage level indicator you can keep track of how long it takes you to shave on average for each day. So let’s do the math here.
From a full charge you receive 45-minutes worth of continuous shave time, right? Let’s say you average 10 minutes each day to shave this gives you 4 traveling business/vacation days worth of charge with about 5-minute left over for “just in case” reasons where you need a quick freshen up. If you had a different model you wouldn’t be able to estimate (unless you timed it with a clock) how long of a charge you need. Okay I’m babbling about the charging station, I know, moving on.
MY FINAL THOUGHT
This shaver can be used wet or dry and the charging system doesn’t give you the best charge but the display on the charger is pretty neat. It is not a cheap shaver nor is it the most expensive. If you have a thicker beard go for Panasonic Arc 5 but the 4-blade cutting system works great with all beard types.
