The family of former Carolina Panthers center Curtis Whitley says the football player has died at his home in Texas. Whitley played at Clemson and was a fifth-round draft pick of the San Diego Chargers in 1992. He played for the Panthers in 1995 and 1996, and for the Oakland Raiders in 1997.
