Blazers add Prunty to coaching staff

PORTLAND (AP) — The Portland Trail Blazers have hired Joe Prunty as an assistant coach. The Sunnyvale, Calif., native spent the last three seasons as an assistant with the Dallas Mavericks. Before that, he spent nine seasons with the Spurs. The Trail Blazers said Monday that Prunty will start work immediately as the team prepares for the Las Vegas summer league.
