Sufjan, LCD, Newsom, Feist, BSS Inspire Coloring Book
Too cute alert! Ever want to go Crayola crazy on your favorite indie rock stars but find the Indie Rock Connect the Dots too snarky? Well UK illustrator Andy J Miller has just the thing for you.
For his final project as an undergrad at England's Huddersfield University, Miller came up with Colour It (Red), a book/compilation combo inspired by his favorite indie rock jams and the (Red) organization, which raises money for the AIDS/HIV-battling Global Fund.
Taking a cue from such indie megahits as LCD Soundsystem's "All My Friends", Panda Bear's "Comfy in Nautica", and Joanna Newsom's "Peach, Plum, Pear", Miller crafted a coloring/activity book sure to tickle pink-- er, make that red-- even the most hardened, poker-faced, arms-crossing indie music fiend.
Can you "help James Murphy of LCD Soundsystem find all his friends" by completing a maze? Care to "make Beirut's carou

New Fleet Foxes Video - "White Winter Hymnal"
The closest we've come to a video from Fleet Foxes was a little over two weeks ago, when Robin Pecknold performed in the back of a black cab. Thanks to Robin's folk bro Sean Pecknold, who takes a production and clay animation credit here, we don't need to rely on Judee Sill covers to flesh out our Fleet Foxes video archive. In it rivers run, mushrooms grow, and bearded dudes clap along and nod heads in time with nature's cycles. Basically if psychedelic folk music could be made out of clay, it would look like this:

New Bloc Party Video - "Mercury"
This weekend a couple of British music sites posted about a RATM82407.com-styled countdown at Bloc Party's homepage. Turns out the countdown was for the unveiling of Bloc Party's new single "Mercury," premiered an hour ago on the BBC's Zane Lowe show. Minutes later and before you could even say "radio rip," YouTube lit up with an official Ace Norton-directed video for the tune. Very "Flux"-y of them.

Pitchfork.tv: July 7: GZA / Junior Boys / New Pornographers / Fleet Foxes / Roots Manuva
We continue our march toward the 2008 Pitchfork Music Festival with more visual recaps of last year's big bash. Starting us off is GZA, who brought a sizable crew that included later Wu inductee Cappadonna to rip through Liquid Swords. Here, they perform "Duel of the Iron Mic", some of them clad in special t-shirts made for the event. I said it then, and I'll say it again: I want one of those shirts.
Next up is a smooth little mid-afternoon run through the Junior Boys’ groovy “Under the Sun”. An appropriate tune for the balmy (but breezy!) summer setting; the band’s onstage getups, perhaps less so.
The New Pornographers closed their set out with a performance of "The Bleeding Heart Show", from 2005's Twin Cinema. Frontman Carl Newman starts the video by dedicating the song to "the yelling girl from the front row." Next up is a group who'll be making their way toward this year's Pitchfork Mu

Spoon, Roots, Bird, Pinback, Lupe Play Mile High Fest
As its title seems to subtly wink at us, Denver, Colorado's Mile High Music Festival is chock full of bands that tend to appeal to the, well, high. But hey, a weekend that also jams in appearances from the likes of Spoon, the Roots, Andrew Bird, Pinback, Lupe Fiasco, Josh Ritter, Rodrigo y Gabriela, and the Whigs? We can dig it.
Mile High hits Dick's Sporting Goods Park July 19-20, the same weekend as some other racket.
